The purpose of this research is to find out what mental problems are often experienced by children with special needs at school, how to overcome them and what achievements are expected to appear in children after being given these efforts. Because if it is not immediately addressed, mental problems in children with special needs will further hinder their development. Systematic Literature Review (SLR) is the method used, by collecting references from various journals. Data analysis uses a qualitative approach that seeks to identify and evaluate the overall results of the research according to the research questions or research topics. The research results obtained, namely the mental problems of children with special needs that are often encountered are learning difficulties and lack of confidence. Efforts that can be made are to carry out guidance and counseling as well as giving appreciation to children. As for what further researchers can do with regard to this phenomenon is to examine more methods of other approaches in an effort to overcome the mental problems of children with special needs at school.
