The purpose of the thesis titled "The Role of Role Play Method in PPKn Subject to Enhance Students' Creativity in Class XI IPS at SMAN 5 Kota Serang" is to determine how the role play learning method can improve students' creativity in the PPKn subject in Class XI IPS at SMAN 5 Kota Serang. The challenges identified include the students' weak creativity during classroom learning due to the application of less suitable teaching methods, as well as the efforts made to address these challenges during the learning process. Additionally, it discusses the impact of the inappropriate teaching methods used in the learning process and the lack of encouragement for creativity during classroom learning on the engagement of Class XI IPS students in the PPKn subject at SMAN 5 Kota Serang. The method in this research uses a descriptive qualitative approach through document or text studies. Data collection techniques are carried out through stages of observation, interviews, documentation, and field notes, with analysis methods including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. Based on the findings, the application of the role play method in the PPKn subject for XI IPS class at SMAN 5 Kota Serang is considered quite effective. This is because during the learning process, the students appeared more enthusiastic and they had the opportunity to actively engage in the ongoing learning. The role-playing method can contribute to the development of critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills in a creative way for students, all of which are essential components of PPKn (Civics Education).
