Guidance and Counseling in elementary schools has a strategic role in shapingstudents' character. This study aims to analyze the implementation of guidanceand counseling in developing students' character in Putat public elementaryschools, identify supporting and inhibiting factors, and develop strategies toimprove the effectiveness of guidance and counseling services. Using adescriptive qualitative approach, this study collected data through observation,interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate thatguidance and counseling in Putat public elementary schools has been integratedinto the education system, although it still faces obstacles such as limitedprofessional guidance and counseling personnel, lack of parental understanding,and external influences such as social media. Supporting factors include supportfrom the principal, teacher competence, and collaboration with teachers andparents. Strategies to improve the effectiveness of guidance and counselinginclude integration with the curriculum, experience-based learning methods, anddigital technology-based approaches. With improvements in guidance andcounseling services, it is hoped that students' characters can develop optimallyand sustainably.
