This research uses a heritage study approach to investigate the influence of the role of teachers in increasing the learning independence of elementary school students. Involving analysis of relevant literature, this research aims to identify key factors that influence student learning independence and the role of teachers in supporting the development of this independence. The research results provide insight into the relationship between teacher-student interaction, learning methods, metacognitive support, and the positive impact on student learning independence. The implications of these findings can be used as a basis for improving educational policies and developing more effective teaching strategies at the elementary school level.
