Abstract

ABSTRACTCultural literacy is an important aspect in education to instill local wisdom values,cultural understanding, and national identity to students. The thematic learningmodel was chosen because it is able to integrate various aspects of learningholistically and contextually. This study uses a qualitative approach withdescriptive methods, involving observation, interviews, and documentation studiesas data collection techniques. The results of the study indicate that the applicationof the thematic model in Arts and Culture learning can improve students'understanding of local culture and foster appreciation for traditional arts. Inaddition, this model also encourages active involvement of students in the learningprocess through various creative activities, such as art performances, makingartwork, and cultural discussions. Thus, the thematic model can be an effectivestrategy in improving cultural literacy in elementary school environments. ABSTRAKLiterasi budaya merupakan aspek penting dalam pendidikan untuk menanamkannilai-nilai kearifan lokal, pemahaman budaya, dan identitas bangsa kepadapeserta didik. Model pembelajaran tematik dipilih karena mampumengintegrasikan berbagai aspek pembelajaran secara holistik dan kontekstual.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif,melibatkan observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi sebagai teknikpengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan modeltematik dalam pembelajaran Seni Budaya mampu meningkatkan pemahamansiswa terhadap budaya lokal serta menumbuhkan apresiasi terhadap senitradisional. Selain itu, model ini juga mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa dalamproses pembelajaran melalui berbagai aktivitas kreatif, seperti pementasan seni,pembuatan karya seni, dan diskusi budaya. Dengan demikian, model tematikdapat menjadi strategi efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi budaya di lingkungansekolah dasar.
