This study evaluates the validity of English reading materials tailored for chemical engineering students, focusing on four key dimensions: appropriateness and depth, accuracy, communicative clarity, and layout. Validation was conducted by two expert validators, yielding high scores in most areas. Results indicate that the materials are well-aligned with learning objectives and specific competencies required for chemical engineering, though minor adjustments in certain areas could enhance alignment with evolving standards. High scores in communicative clarity and consistency in layout support the reading materials’ effectiveness in enhancing reading skills while managing cognitive load. Minor refinements are recommended to improve clarity for varied comprehension levels and multimedia content relevance. Overall, the materials show high feasibility and relevance, suggesting their potential effectiveness in supporting language and technical skill development in chemical engineering students.
