This study aimed to determine theeffectiveness of the implementation of the street vendor relocation policy in Makassar City, namely the Central Market. This study used a type of qualitative research. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validation were data triangulation, techniques and time and then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results showed thatĀ the effectiveness of the PKL relocation policy in the Central Market was slightly disrupted due to the protests of traders who refused to be moved to the New Mall Makassar. The main objective of thisĀ relocation was to restore road functions, the government provided two places for post-relocation traders, namely Block A (New Mall Makassar) and Block B for traders who had not entered the Blok A building. Relocation constraints could be resolved properly and currently JL. KH. Ramli, JL. KH. Wahid Hasyim and JL. HOS Cokroaminoto, which was the target of there location, was cleared of the street vendors who were selling.Keywords: Effectiveness, Relocation, Street Vendors
