<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to find out the level of interest of students in learning English in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at SDN 8 Makale This study is descriptive quantitative methods. The sample of this resear was the fifth grade students of SDN 8 Makale. The researcher used cluster sampling technique to chose the sample of this research. The ressearcher chose class 1.A as sample of this research, and it consist of 23 students.The instruments used for data collection were observation and questionnaire. Based the result of data analysis shows that fifth grade students of SDN 8 Makale have an interest in learning English. This can be seen from the data obtained from statements 1-20 which showed that from the results of the average student answer score is 81% and it fall into high criteria. Based on the result of data analysis, researcher concludes that seventh grade students of SDN 8 Makale have a high interest in learning English.]]>
