Abstract

Penelitianainiabertujuanauntukamengetahuiahubunganaantara minat belajar dengan kesulitan belajar matematika pada siswa kelas XI di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri 1 Banjarbaru. Populasiadalamapenelitiankinikadalahkseluruh siswaikelasiXI di SMK Negeri 1 Banjarbaru, sedangkan subjek pada penelitian ini sebanyak 64 siswa berdasarkan teknikipurposive sampling denganikriteria siswaiyang memiliki kesulitan belajar pada matematika dengan nilai dibawah 75. Metode pengumpulanidataimenggunakan instrumen penelitian berupa skala minat belajar dan skala kesulitan belajar matematika. Berdasarkan hasil uji korelasi product moment didapatkan nilai r = -0,442; p < 0,05, artinya adanya hubungan negatif antara minat belajar dengan kesulitan belajar matematika. Nilai negatif pada r menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi minat belajar maka semakin rendah kesulitan belajar matematika, sebaliknya semakin rendah minat belajar maka semakin tinggi kesulitan belajar matematika sehingga nilai matematika siswa tersebut rendah. Hasil analisis tersebutimembuktikan bahwa hipotesisiyang menyatakaniadanya hubungan antara minat belajar dengan kesulitan belajar matematika dapat diterima.  Kata Kunci: Minat Belajar, Kesulitan Belajar Matematika, Sekolah Menengah KejuruanThe purpose of this study was to find out the relationship between interest in learning and learning difficulty in mathematics in class XI students at SMK Negeri 1 Banjarbaru. The population in this study were all class XI students at SMK Negeri 1 Banjarbaru, while the subjects in this study were 64 students selected using the purposive sampling technique with the criteria of students who had learning difficulty in mathematics with the score below 75. Data were collected using the research instruments, namely the scale for interest in learning and the scale for learning difficulty in mathematics. The results of the product moment correlation test showed that the value of r was -0.442; p < 0.05, indicating that there was a negative relationship between interest in learning and learning difficulty in mathematics. The negative value on r indicated that the higher the interest in learning, the lower the learning difficulty in mathematics, and conversely the lower the interest in learning, the higher the learning difficulty in mathematics, which explained the lower student scores in mathematics. The results of the analysis prove that the hypothesis which states that there is a relationship between interest in learning and learning difficulty in mathematics is acceptable. Keywords: Interest in Learning, Learning Difficult in Mathematics, Vocational High School.
