Abstract

Abstrak: Mesin penggiling padi merupakan alat untuk memisahkan kulit padi dengan beras. Mesin penggiling padi yang beredar mempunyai beberapa kekurangan yakni menimbulkan polusi karena menggunakan penggerak berbahan bakar fosil dan menimbulkan kebisingan yang tinggi. Mesin penggiling padi portable ini bertujuan untuk membantu proses pemisahan kulit padi dan beras yang tidak menimbulkan polusi udara, tidak menimbulkan kebisingan berlebih, dan ringkas. Proses alat ini menggunakan metode perancangan yang dimulai dengan membuat konsep desain alat, pengerjaan rangka, pengerjaan mesin penggiling padi, pengerjaan corong/hopper, pengerjaan motor penggerak, pengerjaan sistem transmisi, dan yang terakhir perakitan semua komponen yang telah dikerjakan. Hasil dari perancangan alat ini yakni berdimensi panjang 705 mm, lebar 400 mm, dan tinggi 1000 mm. Alat ini menggunakan motor penggerak 2 Hp. Pada hasil pengujian alat menggunakan 3 variasi bukaan output valve beras. Pada bukaan 100 menghasilkan kapasitas 129 Kg/jam dengan keberhasilan 97%. Bukaan 200 menghasilkan kapasitas 138 Kg/jam dengan keberhasilan 94%. Bukaan 400 menghasilkan kapasitas 153 Kg/jam dengan keberhasilan 89%.   Kata kunci: Kapasitas Penggiling Padi, Penggiling Padi Portable, Rancang Bangun     Abstract: Rice milling machine is a tool to separate the bran from the rice. The rice milling machines in circulation have several drawbacks, namely causing pollution because they use fossil fuel drives and cause high noise. This portable rice grinding machine aims to assist the process of separating bran and rice which does not cause air pollution, does not cause excessive noise, and is concise. The process of this tool uses a design method that starts with creating a tool design concept, working on a frame, working on a rice grinding machine, working on a funnel/ hopper, working on a driving motor, working on a transmission system, and finally assembling all the components that have been done. The results of the design of this tool are 705 mm in length, 400 mm in width, and 1000 mm in height. This tool uses a 2 Hp motor. In the results of testing the tool used 3 variations of the rice output valve opening. At 100 opening produces a capacity of 129 Kg/hour with 97% success. Aperture of 200 gives a capacity of 138 Kg/hour with 94% success. 400 opening gives a capacity of 153 Kg/hour with 89% success.   Keywords: Capacity of Rice Grinder, Design Build, Portable Rice Grinder
