Abstract

Abstrak Perkembangan teknologi otomotif pada sistem suspensi bertujuan untuk memberikan efek kenyamanan dan keamanan dalam berkendara.Sistem suspensi aktif yang memiliki low-pass filterdisebut Low Bandwidth Active Suspension (LBAS) dan yang tidak adalah High Bandwidth Active Suspension (HBAS).Kendali PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) adalah sebuah pengendali konvensional, sederhana, praktis dan implementasinya mudah.Penelitian ini mendesain parameter dari PID dengan metodeZiegler-Nichols dan Auto Tuning. Pengukuran yang digunakan adalah pada percepatan sprung-mass. Analisis performa dengan nilai RMS (root mean square)dan comfort gain yangdibandingkan dengan sistem pasif.Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa dalam mendesain diperlukan tahapan pemodelan dari model fisik,dinamis,matematika, state-space dan Tuning PID.Didapatkan bahwa kendali P lebih baik dari kendali PI dan PID. Performa dari LBAS dengan kendali P pada percepatan sprung-mass, defleksi suspensi, dan deformasi banadalah 0,4574 m/s2; 0,01 m; dan 0,0013 m sedangkan HBAS sebesar 0,1233 m/s2; 0,0015 m; dan 0,01 m. Nilai comfort gain LBAS percepatan sprung-mass, defleksi suspensi, dan deformasi banadalah 18,67%; 4,76%; 13,33% sedangkan HBAS 78,08%; 85,71%; -566,67%. Kata Kunci: Seperempat Kendaraan, Sistem Suspensi Aktif, PID, Comfort Gain.   Abstract The development of automotive technology in the suspension system aims to provide comfort and safety effects in driving. The active suspension system that has a low-pass filter is called Low Bandwidth Active Suspension (LBAS) and which is not High Bandwidth Active Suspension (HBAS). PID control (Proportional Integral Derivative) is a conventional controller, simple, practical and easy to implement. This research designs the parameters of PID with Ziegler-Nichols and Auto Tuning methods. The measurement used is sprung-mass acceleration. Performance analysis with RMS value (root mean square) and comfort gain compared with passive system. The results of this study found that in designing the required stages of modeling of the physical model, dynamic, math, state-space and Tuning PID. It is found that P control is better than PI and PID control. Performance of LBAS with P control at sprung-mass acceleration, suspension deflection, and tire deformation is 0.4574 m/s2; 0.01 m; and 0,0013 m while HBAS of 0.1233 m/s2; 0.0015 m; and 0.01 m. The value of LBAS comfort gain acceleration of sprung-mass, suspension deflection, and tire deformation were 18.67%; 4.76%; 13.33% while HBAS 78.08%; 85.71%; -566.67%. Abstract

One of the causes of air pollution today is the increasing use of motorized vehicles. The use of technology has also been pinned on many wrong vehicles to improve the quality of the exhaust emissions that have been produced. One of them is EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) technology which has been embedded in many vehicles. The component that has an effect on improving the quality of exhaust emissions at EFI is an electronic fuel pump. The fuel pressure on the electronic pump can be adjusted manually. This study aims to determine changes in fuel pressure on exhaust gas emission levels. This research uses an experimental method, where the fuel pressure is varied from the pressure of 50psi, 40psi, 30psi and 20psi, and the engine speed is varied from 800rpm, 1500rpm, 2250rpm, 3000rpm and 3750rpm. The results of the data obtained are analyzed using the quantitative description method. The test results showed that there was a decrease in the lowest CO level of 0.663% at 30psi fuel pressure with 3750rpm engine speed. HC also experienced a decrease, the lowest decrease was obtained in the value of 280ppm at 20psi fuel pressure and 3750rpm engine speed. While CO2 has increased, the highest increase of 13.33% was achieved at 20psi fuel pressure and 3750rpm engine speed.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTerbitnya Surat Edaran KEMENDIKBUD dan Rektor UNESA tentang Tindakan Pencegahan Penyebaran Corona Virus Disease-19 (Covid-19), maka UNESA menetapkan Work From Home (WFH) untuk para pegawainya dan mengubah konsep belajar di kelas menjadi belajar dalam jaringan (daring). Namun, sayangnya tidak semua mata kuliah bisa dilakukan dengan daring seperti praktek di laboratorium, dan mata kuliah Praktek Industri (PI)/Praktek Kerja Lapangan (PKL) padahal mata kuliah PKL dapat meningkatkan keterampilan dan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menerapkan teori yang diperoleh untuk praktik di lapangan (dunia kerja). Adanya kebijakan WFH akan memunculkan penyesuaian pemberian materi pada mata kuliah praktik. Akankah sistem pembelajaran secara daring masih bisa relevan dengan kondisi di dunia kerja saat pandemi ini?. Untuk memperoleh informasi tentang kekurangan dalam proses pendidikan, maka diperlukam tracer study sehingga proses pendidikan dan proses pembelajaran saat pandemi dapat dievaluasi dan menjadi masukkan program studi di Jurusan Teknik Mesin. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dan bersifat deskriptif-analitik. Perolehan data dengan menyebarkan angket berupa google form secara daring kepada alumni. Teknik analisis data yaitu dengan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil analisisnya berupa pemaparan mengenai situasi yang diteliti dalam bentuk naratif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1)tidak semua metode pembelajaran berperan besar pada ketiga prodi Jurusan Teknik Mesin. 2)Jenis perusahaan tempat bekerja yang memiliki hubungan erat terhadap bidangnya adalah instansi pemerintah (termasuk BUMN), perusahaan swasta dan wiraswasta. 3)Daya saing alumni UNESA tinggi ketika memperoleh pekerjaan pertama. 4)Kompetensi saat lulus yang dibutuhkan seperti bahasa inggris, keterampilan internet, pengetahuan bidang disiplin ilmu, ketrampilan riset, dan bekerja dengan budaya yang berbeda.      Kata Kunci: Tracer Study, Pandemi Covid-19, Pembelajaran Daring ABSTRACTThe issuance of a Circular Letter from the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Chancellor of UNESA concerning Prevention Measures for the Spread of the Corona Virus Disease-19 (Covid-19), UNESA established Work From Home (WFH) for its employees and changed the concept of learning in class to learning online (brave). However, unfortunately not all courses can be done online such as practice in laboratories, and Industrial Practice (PI)., even though Industrial Practice (PI) can improve students' skills and abilities in applying the theories obtained to practice in the field (world of work). The existence of the WFH Policy will exempt buyers from materials in practical courses. Will the online learning system still be relevant to the conditions in the world of work today? To obtain information about deficiencies in the educational process, a tracer study is needed so that the education process and learning process during a pandemic can be evaluated and become a member of the study program in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. This research approach is qualitative and descriptive-analytic. Obtaining data by distributing questionnaires in the form of google form online to alumni. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data analysis and drawing conclusions. The results of the analysis are in the form of a description of the situation under study in a narrative form. The results of this study indicate that: 1) not all learning methods play a major role in the three Department of Mechanical Engineering. 2) The types of companies where they work that have a close relationship with their respective fields are government agencies (including BUMN), private companies and entrepreneurs. 3) The competitiveness of mechanical engineering graduate is high when they get their first job. 4) Required competencies at graduation such as English, internet skills, knowledge of disciplines, research skills, and working with different cultures                                                                                                  Keywords: Tracer Study, Covid-19 Pandemic, Online Learning

Abstract

ABSTRAKTatanan pendidikan pasca mewabahnya covid-19 mengalami perubahan yang cukup signifikan. Dunia Pendidikan juga dituntut untuk bisa bersahabat dengan jarak. Dalam pendidikan yang serba terbatas ini pembelajaran daring menjadi satu-satunya pilihan demi terus berlangsungnya usaha mencerdaskan anak bangsa. Pembelajaran daring yang dapat dilakukan salah satunya yaitu dengan pembelajaran daring berbasis vinesa yang dikembangkan oleh Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Penelitian ini mengumpulkan dan menganalisa data langsung yang berasal dari responden sebagai user vinesa kemudian dianalisis dan divalidasi menggunakan metode trianggulasi untuk mendapatkan data yang valid. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran daring berbasis vinesa sangat mudah dan memiliki tampilan yang cukup baik, memiliki tools yang mudah dipahami user, Serta memiliki berbagai macam media materi yang menarik. Namun demikian vinesa juga memiliki kekurangan yaitu penggunaanya cukup memerlukan kuantitas kuota yang cukup banyak                                                                                                                 Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Daring, Vinesa, Pendidikan Teknik Mesin. ABSTRACTThe educational structure after the Covid-19 outbreak underwent significant changes. The world of education is also required to be friendly with distance. In this limited education, online learning is the only option for continuing efforts to educate the nation's children. One of the ways to do online learning is by using vinesa-based online learning developed by the State University of Surabaya. The method used in this research is quantitative research with a descriptive approach. This study collected and analyzed direct data from respondents as vinesa users then analyzed and validated using the triangulation method to obtain valid data. This research shows that vinesa-based online learning is very easy and has a pretty good appearance, has tools that are easy for users to understand, and has a variety of interesting media materials. Abstract

Background. The development of electromedical technology in the healthcare field is increasing. However, the measurement of liquid samples in the pipetting process is still done manually which makes it highly contaminated from human hands. A Liquid Handling System (LHS) is a device used to automatically transfer fluids to prevent contamination. 3D Printing is a tool used to create creative design objects using filament material. The mechanism of this tool is similar to that of a liquid handling system but is simpler and has a smaller capacity. In the future, Research Purpose. To determine 3D printing modification of liquid handling system for pipetting system process in the medical area. Research Method. This research uses the research and development (R&D) method by designing and constructing a Prototype Liquid Handling System with a modified 3D Printing 3-axis, placing measuring cups and sample tubes, and designing G-Code programs and servo motor coding to test the capabilities of the designed Prototype Liquid Handling System. Findings. Based on the functional test results of the liquid handling system using NaCl solution, the pipetting results were 0.82 ml with a processing time of 5.6 seconds. The electromedical device has a percentage error rate of 2.4% with a pulling force of 6.56 N and an injection pressure of 8.44 Pa. Conclusion. This electromedical device will be able to automatically process extraction fluids or pipetting processes with high accuracy.

Abstract

Background. Modern vehicles must prioritize comfort and safety, including the suspension system. While passive suspension systems are common, they struggle with excessive vibrations on uneven roads. Semi-active and active systems address this but are costly and complex. To solve this, a Variable Geometry Suspension (VGS) prototype was developed, integrating an active actuator into a passive system to adjust its geometry, providing performance comparable to active suspension systems. Research Purpose. This study aims to examine the effect of single-link angle variations in the Variable Geometry Suspension (VGS) prototype on bumpy roads to determine the most comfortable single-link angle. Research methods. This research employs a Research and Development (RnD) method by testing the single-link angle at 0°, 90° (reference angle), and 180°. Data collection was conducted by introducing road disturbances in the form of a bumpy road. Findings. The testing results showed that the lowest Root Mean Square (RMS) value of the sprung-mass was at a single-link angle of 90°, with an RMS value of 0.72 m/s². This indicates a "Fairly Uncomfortable" level based on ISO 2631, with the damper on the unsprung-mass (ct) and tire stiffness (kt) disregarded, as well as the weight of the sprung-mass. Conclusion. The VGS prototype's response to changes in the single-link angle on bumpy roads varies. However, the system effectively reduces vibrations at all angles, stabilizing the vehicle's body (sprung-mass) as the wheel (unsprung-mass) moves over uneven surfaces.

Abstract

Suspension technology on the vehicle provides a comforting effect with shock absorbers and a safety effect in driving and reducing the accident rate. The suspension system was developed by changing the construction and mechanism as well as the addition of a control element. Variable Geometry Suspension (VGS) is the development of a suspension system by using an active actuator is Single-link which is used to change the geometry of the suspension. Geometry change can affect the performance of the suspension system, so a modeling approach is needed to analyze the performance of the VGS system. The VGS modeling uses a quarter-vehicle model and a multi-body model with an equation of motion system using a Kineto-dynamic model with a double-wishbone suspension type. The analysis method on the VGS uses input is bumpy-road to obtain system performance in body acceleration, suspension deflection, and tire deformation. The results of the VGS with the Kineto-dynamic model has a range of 2 mm in the variation of the single-link angle, the performance values ??in the body acceleration and tire deformation between the quarter-vehicle and multi-body models have the same oscillations until steady, while the suspension deflection in the Kineto-dynamic model differs in the first oscillation with a steady time of 1.6 seconds. Therefore, the Kineto-dynamic model can be used to approximate the actual system.

Abstract

Susu kedelai adalah minuman yang kaya nutrisi. Mengandung sumber protein, karbohidrat, gula serat dan lemak baik, kaya mineral dan vitamin yang bermanfaat bagi tubuh. Mulai dari anak kecil hingga orang dewasa menyukai minuman ini. Permintaan yang tinggi menjadikan minuman ini ada hampir di setiap daerah. Salah satu produsen sari kedelai yang merupakan industri kecil adalah Rahmah yang berada di wilayah Sidotopo Surabaya. Keunggulan produk sari kedelai Rahmah tidak menggunakan bahan pengawet pada proses produksi pembuatan sari kedelai. Kendala yang paling dominan UKM Sari Kedelai Rahmah adalah masalah teknologi produksi. Keterbatasan kapasitas peralatan, dimana proses produksi dilakukan secara konvensional. Proses yang paling berat adalah tahap pemecahan kedelai yang dengan cara memblender kedelai yang kapasitasnya kecil sehingga harus dilakukan berulangulang. Penambahan alat pembuatan mesin penggiling kedelai. Dengan penambahan mesin tersebut, maka kapasitas pemakaian mesin produksi untuk pembuatan sari kedelai akan semakin meningkat. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah Pembuatan alat penggiling kedelai. Untuk indikator kinerja adalah Publikasi Berita di media massa cetak atau online yang bukan terbitan Unesa. Video kegiatan yang diunggah di YouTube, serta Alat Teknologi Tepat Guna Mesin Penggiling Kedelai. Produktifitas alat yaitu 25 Kg/jam, lebih cepat 5 : 1 dibandingkan dengan konvensional yaitu 5 Kg/jam. Alat penggiling kedelai mempunyai spesifikasi rangka alat: P = 42 cm x L = 33 cm x T = 65 cm, menggunakan bahan baja stainless. Alat penggiling kedelai ini menghasilkan produk kedelai yang halus dengan kondisi yang merata, hal ini dikarenakan oleh tekanan yang diberikan oleh kedua batu gerinda secara merata.

Abstract

The development of digital technology in the medical and health fields is increasing, but manual PCR sample testing is still vulnerable to contamination by human hands and is relatively expensive. A liquid handling system, a tool for moving liquids automatically, can be a solution that is more environmentally friendly and easy to use. Modification of the CNC Plotter with a robotic finger is used as a liquid handling system tool to process liquid PCR sample extraction automatically with a high degree of accuracy. This study uses the research and development method by designing a Prototype Liquid Handling System, placing measuring cups and sample tubes, as well as designing the G-Code program and coding servo motors to test the capabilities of the Prototype Liquid Handling System system that has been designed. Based on the results of the liquid handling system prototype function test using NaCl fluid samples, it can be concluded that the higher the delay in the Arduino servo coding program, the longer the testing time. It can be concluded that the liquid handling system prototype that has been designed can be an effective solution for the PCR process using a modified CNC plotter and robotic finger by reducing the level of contamination with humans.
