<![CDATA[Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi tentang penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi keliling dan luas daerah lingkaran di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 18 Palu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart, yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 18 Palu yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2015/2016 dengan jumlah 23 siswa dan dipilih tiga siswa sebagai informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi keliling dan luas daerah lingkaran dengan mengikuti fase-fase: 1) Penyajian materi, 2) belajar kelompok, 3) membimbing kelompok dalam belajar dan bekerja, 4) evaluasi, dan 5) penghargaan kelompok Kata kunci: STAD, hasil belajar, keliling dan luas daerah lingkaran. Abstract: The purpose of this study was to obtain a description of the application of cooperative learning model type STAD that can improve student learning outcomes in the material perimeter and the area around the circle in class VIII SMP Negeri 18 Palu. This research is a class act that refers to the study design Kemmis and Mc. Taggart, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. This study was conducted in two cycles. The subjects were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 18 Palu registered in the 2015/2016 academic year with 23 students and a selected number of three students as informants. The results showed that the application of cooperative learning model type STAD can improve learning outcomes of main topic perimeter and area of circle follow phases: 1) presentation of the material, 2) study group, 3) guide the group in learning and work, 4) evaluation, and 5) group award.
