<![CDATA[Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi penerapan metode penemuan terbimbing yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi trapesium di kelas VII SMP Negeri 7 Palu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode penemuan terbimbing yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi trapesium di kelas VII SMP Negeri 7 Palu melalui langkah-langkah: 1) perumusan masalah, 2) pemrosesan data dan penyusunan konjektur, 3) pemeriksaan konjektur, 4) verbalisasi konjektur, dan 5) umpan balik. Kata kunci: Metode penemuan terbimbing, hasil belajar, trapesium. Abstract: The purpose of this research is to describe the applying of guide discovery learning method to improves the student’s learning outcomes of main topic trapezoid at VII SMP Negeri 7 Palu. The type of this research is a classroom action research that refers to the research desain Kemmis and Mc. Taggart, that are planning, action, observation and reflection. This research was conducted in two cycle. The results showed that the application of theguided discovery method can upgrade student learning outcomes of main topic trapezoid at VII SMP Negeri 7 Palu throught the following steps: 1) formulation of the problem, 2) data processing and preparation of conjecture, 3) exmination conjecture, 4) verbalization conjecture, and 5) feed back.
