Abstract

The use of social media in the context of ministry and community building has brought complex impacts, with the potential to expand outreach and strengthen relationships between members. While social media can serve as an effective tool for disseminating religious beliefs and practices, it also presents ethical challenges that need to be addressed so that fundamental religious values are not compromised. This article explores the duality of social media as a tool in religious interaction, where it can change the way individuals relate to their faith and give rise to theological debates regarding the nature of digital presence in spiritual life. As such, it is important for communities to critically assess the use of social media in order to remain aligned with authentic religious principles. This study aims to understand the right attitude in responding to technological advancements in order to use social media as an auxiliary tool to create a theologically-savvy and ethical community in line with the truth of God's Word.
