Abstract

Academic supervision is one of the strategic efforts to improve the quality of learning in educational institutions. The purpose of this research is to examine the role of academic supervision in improving the quality of learning through guidance, monitoring, and evaluation of educators. The research method used is a literature review that analyzes various theories, concepts, and research findings related to academic supervision and learning. Research results show that academic supervision can play a significant role in developing teacher competencies, improving learning performance, and creating a conducive and innovative learning atmosphere. Effective supervision requires the active role of supervisors, systemic support from the school, and teacher involvement in the processes of reflection and self-development. In conclusion, academic supervision plays an important role in improving the quality of learning, especially in terms of planning, implementation, and evaluation of effective learning. ABSTRAK Supervisi akademik merupakan salah satu upaya strategis dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di institusi pendidikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji peran supervisi akademik dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran melalui pembinaan, pemantauan, dan evaluasi terhadap tenaga pendidik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kajian pustaka yang menganalisis berbagai teori, konsep, dan hasil penelitian yang berkaitan dengan supervisi akademik dan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa supervisi akademik dapat berperan secara signifikan dalam mengembangkan kompetensi guru, meningkatkan kinerja pembelajaran, serta menciptakan suasana belajar yang kondusif dan inovatif. Supervisi yang efektif memerlukan peran aktif supervisor, dukungan sistemik dari sekolah, serta keterlibatan guru dalam proses refleksi dan pengembangan diri. Kesimpulannya, supervisi akademik memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, terutama dalam hal perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pembelajaran yang efektif. Kata Kunci: Supervisi akademik, kualitas pembelajaran, pengembangan kompetensi guru, evaluasi pembelajaran.
