The purpose of this study was to describe in detail how the application of the differentiated learning approach in the independent curriculum in the PPKn subject at SMP Negeri 4 Tabukan Utara. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method and data sources come from the results of observations, interviews, and documentation of PPKn teachers and class VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Tabukan Utara. The data analysis technique in this study uses the Miles and Hubberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study indicate that both teachers and students show increased understanding and active learning by using this differentiated learning where teachers and students provide deep insights into the application and acceptance of differentiated learning. These findings can be the basis for improving the learning system to be more inclusive and responsive to individual student differences.
