The application of virtual autopsy to help determine the cause of death, which can be studied from ethical, bioethical, medicolegal, socio-cultural and religious aspects, although the literature discussing it is not too much, besides the professionalism of the medical personnel involved and multidisciplinary cooperation are formed into good ethical aspects of Virtual autopsy. The collection of data obtained from virtual autopsy is expected to complement conventional autopsy and also as a learning experience if conventional autopsy is not possible to carry out, although currently conventional autopsy is still the gold standard for forensic examination. The research method used in this study is normative juridical supported by prescriptives related to virtual autopsy as one of the enforcers of the cause of death. Based on the results of research on secondary data (primary legal materials), it was found that in the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 38 of 2024 concerning Medical Services for Legal Interests, it is stated that Virtual autopsy (Post Mortem CT Scan) can be applied to help establish the cause of death. This regulation aims to provide guidelines and regulations related to the implementation of medical services related to legal interests, including procedures, infrastructure, medical devices, and parties involved.
