<![CDATA[Character education based on local wisdom is a strategic approach in building the integrity of students in the midst of globalization challenges. One of the Minangkabau cultural heritages that is rich in character values is Kato Nan Ampek, which is a communication system that includes: Kato Mandata, Kato Manurun, Kato Mandaki, Kato Malereang. This research is a Systematic Literature Review using the PRISMA method. The database used is Google Scholar. The results showed that 38 articles were selected in 2025. Articles that meet the inclusion criteria are 5 articles. Analysis of the article shows that Kato Nan Ampek is very relevant to be integrated in learning in elementary schools in instilling character values. In addition, the study of Kato Nan Ampek has philosophical depth and high pedagogical potential as a cultural instrument in character education.]]>
