<![CDATA[This study aims to describe the implementation of the method of understanding the meaning and key word in learning tahfiz Al-Qur'an at Rumah Tahfiz Nurul Islam Ulak Karang Padang, and analyze its impact on the quality of memorization and understanding of students. The background of this research is the need for tahfiz methods that do not only focus on verbal memorization, but also encourage understanding of the content of the verse. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation studies of learning activities at Tahfiz House. The results showed that the implementation of the method was carried out through three main stages, namely orientation of the meaning of the verse through lafziyyah translation, identification of keywords for each verse, and integration between memorization and understanding. This method is proven to be able to improve the students' memory, strengthen the emotional connection to the memorized verse, and encourage active participation in the class. Nevertheless, several obstacles were found, such as differences in the basic abilities of students, limited learning time, and lack of parental involvement. Solutions implemented include classification of learning levels, enrichment of learning modules, teacher training, and strengthening the synergy between home and institutions. This study concludes that the method of understanding meaning and key words is effective in creating a meaningful and contextualized memorization process, and is relevant to be applied in various Qur'anic education institutions.]]>
