Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penegakan aturan tata tertib sekolah di SMP Negeri 2 Telaga, Kabupaten Gorontalo. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, di mana teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi terhadap guru, kepala sekolah, serta siswa yang terlibat dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penegakan aturan tata tertib di SMP Negeri 2 Telaga belum sepenuhnya efektif. Hal ini disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor seperti kurangnya kesadaran siswa terhadap pentingnya tata tertib, lemahnya perhatian orang tua terhadap pendidikan karakter anak, serta adanya pengaruh negatif dari lingkungan pergaulan dan media sosial. Selain itu, pendekatan yang digunakan guru dalam menegakkan disiplin masih bersifat konvensional dan kurang inovatif, sehingga tidak menarik perhatian siswa untuk mematuhi aturan yang ada.   This study aims to determine the effectiveness of enforcing school discipline rules at SMP Negeri 2 Telaga, Gorontalo Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, where data collection techniques are carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of teachers, principals, and students involved in teaching and learning activities. The results of the study indicate that the enforcement of discipline rules at SMP Negeri 2 Telaga is not yet fully effective. This is caused by several factors such as the lack of student awareness of the importance of discipline, the weak attention of parents to children's character education, and the negative influence of the social environment and social media. In addition, the approach used by teachers in enforcing discipline is still conventional and less innovative, so it does not attract students' attention to obey the existing rules.
