PENINGKATAN KONSENTRASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR BANGUN DATAR BERBASIS ETNOMATEMATIKA

Abstract

This research is motivated by initial findings in class III of SDK Sang Timur Yogyakarta which showed that there were students with low learning concentration and Mathematics learning outcomes of flat shape material that had not reached the Learning Objective Completion Criteria (KKTP) of 70. The focus of this research problem is how to improve students' concentration and Mathematics learning outcomes. To overcome this problem, Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted consisting of two cycles by implementing ethnomathematics-based learning media. The subjects of the study were 20 class III students, consisting of 10 males and 10 females. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations of 6 concentration indicators, documentation studies, and learning outcome tests. The results of the study showed a significant increase. The percentage of "very concentrated" attitudes increased from 10% in cycle I to 30% in cycle II, and the "concentration" category increased from 35% to 40%. In addition, the percentage of Mathematics learning outcomes completion increased from 45% in the pre-cycle to 85% in cycle II. The main conclusion is that the application of ethnomathematics-based learning media is effective in improving students' concentration attitudes and Mathematics learning outcomes. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh temuan awal di kelas III SDK Sang Timur Yogyakarta yang menunjukkan adanya peserta didik dengan konsentrasi belajar rendah serta hasil belajar Matematika materi bangun datar yang belum mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Tujuan Pembelajaran (KKTP) sebesar 70. Fokus masalah penelitian ini adalah bagaimana meningkatkan konsentrasi dan hasil belajar Matematika siswa. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, dilakukan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari dua siklus dengan menerapkan media pembelajaran berbasis etnomatematika. Subjek penelitian adalah 20 peserta didik kelas III, terdiri dari 10 laki-laki dan 10 perempuan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi terhadap 6 indikator konsentrasi, studi dokumentasi, dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan. Persentase sikap "sangat konsentrasi" meningkat dari 10% pada siklus I menjadi 30% pada siklus II, dan kategori "konsentrasi" meningkat dari 35% menjadi 40%. Selain itu, persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar Matematika meningkat dari 45% pada pra-siklus menjadi 85% pada siklus II. Simpulan utama adalah penerapan media pembelajaran berbasis etnomatematika efektif dalam meningkatkan sikap konsentrasi dan hasil belajar Matematika siswa.
