Abstract

Abstrak Gempa bumi berskala besar sering menimbulkan korban jiwa dan kerugian materi. Manajemen bencana membutuhkan pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan yang cukup untuk kesiapsiagaan melalui pemberian edukasi. Perkembangan sistem operasi android, mulai dari gadget, tablet, smartphone dan aplikasi lain yang memiliki sistem operasi android lainnya dapat mendukung dalam pemberian pendidikan yang dapat diakses oleh penggunanya dimana saja dan kapan saja sehingga dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat sebagai suatu upaya promotif dan preventif dalam kesiapsiagaan bencana. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui keefektifan penerapan model pemberian edukasi melalui aplikasi android terhadap kesiapsiagaan masyarakat menghadapi bencana alam gempa bumi. Jenis penelitian ini quasi eksperiment dengan desain pre-test and post-test with control group. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah masyarakat di Guo Pasa Lalang Kuranji dengan jumlah sampel 24 orang. Hasil penelitian menggunakan uj mann whitney. Terdapat perbedaan skor kesiapsiagaan masyarakat menghadapi bencana alam gempa bumi yang diberikan edukasi melalui aplikasi android terhadap kesiapsiagaan masyarakat menghadapi bencana alam gempa bumi (p value = 0,000). Diharapkan masyarakat dapat meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan dalam bencana alam khususnya gempa bumi setelah diberikan edukasi melalui aplikasi android sehingga masyarakat siaga dalam menghadapi bencana dan dapat mengaplikasinya ketika terjadi bencana alam khususnya gempa bumi. Kata Kunci: Gempa bumi, model edukasi, aplikasi android Abstract Large-scale earthquakes often cause casualties and material losses. Disaster management requires sufficient knowledge, attitudes and skills for preparedness through providing education. The development of the Android operating system, starting from gadgets, tablets, smartphones and other applications that have other Android operating systems, can support the provision of education that can be accessed by users anywhere and at any time so that it can increase public awareness as a promotive and preventive effort in disaster preparedness. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of implementing the model of providing education via an Android application on community preparedness for facing earthquake natural disasters. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a pre-test and post-test design with control group. The sample in this research was the community in Guo Pasa Lalang Kuranji using a purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 24 people. The research results were processed using the Mann Whitney test. The results showed a difference in the preparedness scores of communities facing earthquake natural disasters who were given education via the Android application regarding community preparedness facing earthquake natural disasters (p value = 0.000). t is hoped that the community can increase their preparedness for natural disasters, especially earthquakes, after being given education through Android applications so that people are prepared to face disasters and can apply it when natural disasters occur, especially earthquakes.
