Purpose:This study aims to formulate appropriate strategies for BMT El Mentari to survive and compete amidst the increasingly intense competition among Islamic financial institutions, particularly in the Purwokerto region.Design/methodology/approach:This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. Strategic analysis is conducted using the SPACE Matrix, which maps the organization's position into one of four strategic quadrants.Research Findings:Based on the SPACE Matrix analysis, BMT El Mentari is positioned at coordinates (1.10; 1.25), placing it in the aggressive strategy quadrant. This indicates that BMT possesses strong internal capabilities and significant external opportunities to leverage.Contribution/Originality/Novelty:This study contributes by applying the SPACE Matrix as a practical strategic analysis tool for Islamic microfinance institutions, resulting in a relevant strategic roadmap tailored to the local context.
