Akurasi Arah Barat Sejati Pada Pintu Candi Dermo Dengan Arah Barat Sejati Dalam Perspektif NOAA

Abstrak: Eksistensi Ilmu Falak yang dimulai dengan perhitungan yang secara klasik dan digital, begitupun dengan bangunan kuno salah satunya seperti Candi Dermo. Hasil pengamatan yang berada di lokasi candi Dermo dengan alat bantuan kompas yang mendapatkan titik barat sejati dengan nilai 278⁰. Nilai tersebut didapatkan dengan mengukur pintu candi tersebut yang konon hampir mendekati arah titik barat dari rotasi bumi. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan metode observasi langsung di lapangan dan metode deskriptif analisis secara matematis. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui teori, data website yang melalui satelit NOAA secara komparatif. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa alat digital berupa kompas memiliki penyimpangan antara titik utara kompas dengan utara sejati bumi. Dikarenakan arah utara yang sebenarnya mengalami penyimpangan maka akan mempengaruhi arah barat sejati dari rotasi bumi juga. Sehingga perlu adanya pengoreksian akurasi secara matematis dalam menemukan arah barat dari rotasi bumi yang sesungguhnya.Kata Kunci: Candi Dermo, Kompas, NOAA, Barat Sejati, Akurasi Abstract: The existence of Astrology began with classical and digital calculations, as well as with ancient buildings, one of which is Candi Dermo. The results of observations at the location of the Dermo temple, with the help of a compass, found a true west point with a value of 278⁰. This value is obtained by measuring the door of the temple, which is said to be almost close to the western point of the Earth's rotation. This quantitative research uses direct observation methods in the field and descriptive methods of mathematical analysis. This study aims to find out the theory and website data via the NOAA satellite, comparatively. This study found that a digital tool in the form of a compass has deviations between the north point of the compass and true north of the Earth. Because the true north direction is distorted, it will affect the true west direction of the Earth's rotation as well. So it is necessary to correct the mathematical accuracy in finding the west direction of the actual Earth's rotation.Keywords: Dermo Temple, Compass, NOAA, True West, Accuracy
