Pengaruh Pemberian Arang Sekam Padi dan Pupuk Kandang Sapi terhadap Ketersediaan Hara N, P, K dan Pertumbuhan Tanaman Tomat Ceri (Solanum Lycopersicum Var. Cerasiforme) di Tanah Ultisol

Abstract

Tomato production in West Kalimantan has decreased, but demand is increasing every year. One of the efforts that can be made to increase tomato production is the use of Ultisol soil, however, the use of this soil faces problems with soil characteristics which can inhibit plant growth if not managed properly. This research aims to determine the effect of applying rice husk charcoal and cow manure on the availability of N, P, K nutrients and the growth of cherry tomato plants in Ultisol soil. This research used a two-factor experimental method arranged in a factorial completely randomized design (CRD). First factor is rice husk charcoal (A) which consists of 3 treatment levels, namely treatment without rice husk charcoal (A0), 17 tons/ha of rice husk charcoal (A1), and 34 tons/ha (A2). Second factor is cow manure (P) which consists of 3 levels of treatment, namely without cow manure (P0), 25 tons/ha of cow drum fertilizer (P1), and 50 tons/ha (P2). The experiment was repeated 3 times so that there were 27 experimental units. The results of the research can be concluded that the application of rice husk charcoal and cow manure to the A2P2 treatment can increase soil pH by 17%, soil organic C by 86%, and soil nutrient availability (N, P, and K) by 75%-342%, Providing rice husk charcoal and cow manure in the A1P2 treatment can increase the growth parameters of cherry tomato plants by 101%-262%. The combination of rice husk charcoal and cow manure treatment interacts with the parameters of soil pH, soil available phosphorus, and plant height.  ABSTRAKProduksi tomat di Kalimantan Barat mengalami penurunan, namun permintaan semakin meningkat setiap tahunnya. Satu diantara upaya yang dapat dilakuan untuk meningkatkan produksi tomat adalah pemanfaatan tanah Ultisol, namun demikian pemanfaatan tanah ini menghadapi kendala karakteristik tanah yang dapat menghambat pertumbuhan tanaman bila tidak dikelola dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian arang sekam padi dan pupuk kandang sapi terhadap ketersediaan hara N, P, K, dan pertumbuhan tanaman tomat ceri di tanah Ultisol. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dua faktor yang disusun dalam rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) faktorial. Faktor pertama adalah arang sekam padi (A) yang terdiri dari 3 taraf perlakuan yaitu perlakuan tanpa arang sekam padi (A0­), arang sekam padi 17 ton/ha (A1), dan 34 ton/ha (A2). Faktor kedua adalah pupuk kandang sapi (P) yang terdiri dari 3 taraf perlakuan yaitu tanpa pupuk kandang sapi (P0), pupuk kandang sapi 25 ton/ha (P1), dan 50 ton/ha (P2). Percobaan diulang sebanyak 3 kali sehingga terdapat 27 unit percobaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian arang sekam padi dan pupuk kandang sapi pada perlakuan A2P2 dapat meningkatkan pH tanah sebesar 17%, C-organik tanah sebesar 86%, dan ketersediaan hara tanah (N, P, dan K) sebesar 75%-342%, Pemberian arang sekam padi dan pupuk kandang sapi pada perlakuan A1P2 dapat meningkatkan parameter pertumbuhan tanaman tomat ceri sebesar 101%-262%.  Kombinasi perlakuan arang sekam padi dan pupuk kandang sapi berinteraksi terhadap parameter pH tanah, fosfor tersedia tanah, dan tinggi tanaman.
