This study aims to analyze in depth the authentic assessment strategy in instilling religious character in students in elementary education. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, which involves data collection through direct observation in the classroom, in-depth interviews with teachers, students, and principals, and documentation studies of learning documents. The data analysis technique used is descriptive-analytic, which includes the process of critical analysis, data interpretation, and drawing conclusions based on field findings. The results of the study indicate that the authentic assessment applied includes assessment of cognitive aspects (such as written tests, oral tests, and assignments), affective (through observation, self-assessment, peer assessment, and daily journals), and psychomotor (in the form of projects, performance, and portfolios). This assessment strategy has proven effective in providing a comprehensive picture of the development of students' religious character, both in terms of knowledge, attitudes, and real behavior in everyday life. In addition, authentic assessment also provides constructive feedback to teachers to adjust learning, so that the process of forming religious character can take place continuously and in a directed manner. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara mendalam strategi asesmen autentik dalam menanamkan karakter religius pada peserta didik di pendidikan dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, yang melibatkan pengumpulan data melalui observasi langsung di kelas, wawancara mendalam dengan guru, siswa, serta kepala sekolah, dan studi dokumentasi terhadap dokumen pembelajaran. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif-analitik, yang mencakup proses analisis kritis, interpretasi data, dan penarikan kesimpulan berdasarkan temuan lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa asesmen autentik yang diterapkan meliputi penilaian aspek kognitif (seperti tes tulis, tes lisan, dan penugasan), afektif (melalui observasi, penilaian diri, penilaian antar teman, serta jurnal harian), dan psikomotorik (berupa proyek, unjuk kerja, dan portofolio). Strategi asesmen ini terbukti efektif dalam memberikan gambaran menyeluruh mengenai perkembangan karakter religius siswa, baik dari sisi pengetahuan, sikap, maupun perilaku nyata dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Selain itu, asesmen autentik juga memberikan umpan balik konstruktif kepada guru untuk menyesuaikan pembelajaran, sehingga proses pembentukan karakter religius dapat berlangsung secara berkesinambungan dan terarah.
