<![CDATA[Teachers in private foundations are expected to not only have a commitment to their work but also to their organization. Individuals who have an affective commitment to the organization will be shown by emotional attachment and give extra effort to achieve the goals of the organization. Transformational leadership is the ability to lead members of the organization together to achieve organizational goals. This study aims to test the effect of transformational leadership on vocational high school teachers in district Y. This study is a type of quantitative correlational research. The number of samples in this study was 84 vocational high school teachers with the characteristics of having been teachers in vocational high schools for at least three years. This research instrument uses an affective commitment scale that refers to the concept of affective commitment by Allen and Meyer 1990 while the transformational leadership scale refers to the concept of transformational leadership by Avolio and Bass 1993. The results of the assumption test of this study are normally distributed and linear. The results of the hypothesis test show a Sig. (p) value = 0.015 (0.05). This means that transformational leadership has a significant influence on the affective commitment of teachers in vocational high schools in district Y.ABSTRAKGuru yang berada pada yayasan swasta diharapkan tidak hanya memiliki komitmen terhadap pekerjaan tetapi juga memiliki komitmen pada organisasinya. Individu yang memiliki komitmen afektif pada organisasi akan ditunjukkan dengan keterikatan emosional dan memberikan upaya ekstra untuk mencapai tujuan dari organisasi. Kepemimpinan transformasional merupakan kemampuan untuk memimpin anggota organisasi secara bersama-sama untuk mencapai tujuan organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap guru SMK di kabupaten Y. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif korelasional. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 84 orang guru SMK dengan karakteristik telah menjadi guru di SMK minimal tiga tahun. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan skala komitmen afektif yang mengacu pada konsep komitmen afektif milik Allen dan Meyer 1990 sedangkan skala kepemimpinan transformasional mengacu pada konsep kepemimpinan transformasional miliki Avolio dan Bass 1993. Hasil uji asumsi penelitian ini berdistribusi normal dan linier. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai Sig. (p) = 0,015 ( 0,05). Artinya kepemimpinan transformasional memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap komitmen afektif guru di SMK Kabupaten Y.]]>
