Abstract

Infection is one of the many health problems that over time develop. The study entitled "white oyster fungal activity (Pleurotus ostreatus AL1) against the Candida albicans and Escherichia coli." One plant that can be used as a traditional medicine is the white oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus AL1). Aimed at identifying antimicrobial activity in the fungi and pathogenic bacteria. Isolates are made by insulating the oyster mold by medium ASK, and resistance tests are conducted using diffusion methods. This study suggests that white oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus AL1) toward Escherichia coli. Studies show that white oyster mushrooms have a resistance test against Escherichia coli but have no resistance activity against the Candida albicans. The unbounded activity of white oyster mushrooms against E. coli media to create a clear zone with an average diameter to replicas a, b, c, and d, respectively, is 16. 5, 15. 5, 17, and 15. 5 mm.AbstrakInfeksi merupakan salah satu masalah dalam bidang kesehatan yang dari waktu ke waktu terus berkembang. Penelitian dengan judul “Aktivitas Antimikroba Jamur Tiram Putih (Pleurotus ostreatus AL1) terhadap Candida albicans dan Escherichia coli”. Salah satu makhluk hidup yang dapat digunakan sebagai obat tradisional adalah Jamur Tiram Putih (Pleurotus ostreatus AL1). Yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya aktivitas antimikroba terhadap jamur dan bakteri patogen. Proses isolat dilakukan dengan mengisolat jamur tiram dengan medium ASK, dilakukan uji daya hambat menggunakan metode difusi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Jamur Tiram Putih (Pleurotus ostreatus AL1) terhadap Escherichia coli. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jamur tiram putih memiliki uji daya hambat terhadapa Escherichia coli namun tidak memilki aktivitas daya hambat terhadap Candida albicans. Aktivitas daya hambat jamur tiram putih terhadap E. coli pada media agar cawan Na menghasilkan zona bening dengan diameter rata- rata pada replika A, B, C, dan  D, masing- masing adalah 16. 5; 15. 5; 17; dan 15. 5 mm
