Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of children's fine motor skills in performing pattern-sticking activities in group B at Khadijah Plus Islamic Kindergarten, Banjarmasin. To overcome this problem, this study applied a combination of Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning models, Explicit Instruction, and the use of natural media as an effort to improve children's fine motor skills. The main objective of this study was to describe teacher and child activities during the learning process, and to analyze the results of children's fine motor development, especially in the skill of sticking according to the patterns taught. This study used a qualitative approach with the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out in four meetings. The results of the data analysis showed that teacher activity reached a percentage of 94% with the category of "Very Good," while children's activity showed a significant increase with a percentage of 95%, included in the category of "Very Active." In addition, the achievement of children's fine motor development also showed satisfactory results with a percentage of 91%, which was included in the category of "Developing Very Well (BSB)." Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the learning model and media used in this study is effective as an alternative in improving children's fine motor skills, especially in pattern-sticking activities. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya kemampuan motorik halus anak dalam melakukan aktivitas menempel sesuai pola pada kelompok B di TK Islam Khadijah Plus Banjarmasin. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini menerapkan kombinasi model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL), Explicit Instruction, serta penggunaan media berbahan alam sebagai upaya peningkatan kemampuan motorik halus anak. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas guru dan aktivitas anak selama proses pembelajaran, serta menganalisis hasil perkembangan motorik halus anak khususnya dalam keterampilan menempel sesuai pola yang diajarkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam empat pertemuan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas guru mencapai persentase sebesar 94% dengan kategori “Sangat Baik,” sedangkan aktivitas anak menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dengan persentase sebesar 95%, termasuk dalam kategori “Sangat Aktif.” Selain itu, capaian perkembangan motorik halus anak juga menunjukkan hasil yang memuaskan dengan persentase 91%, yang tergolong dalam kategori “Berkembang Sangat Baik (BSB).” Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran dan media yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini efektif sebagai alternatif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus anak, khususnya dalam aktivitas menempel sesuai pola.
