<![CDATA[The accelerated proliferation of social media has engendered deleterious consequences, including the establishment of unrealistic content standards and the onset of psychological distress among diverse demographics, such as young people and employees. Research indicates that optimal family functioning (cohesion and adaptability) and effective social support can reduce the risk of negative social media impacts. This outreach activity employed an online seminar method, with 143 participants, comprising the general public and employees of PT Harta Makmur Sejahtera. The implementation of pre- and post-tests resulted in a demonstrable enhancement in the comprehension of the pivotal function of family and social support among the study's participants. The seminar focused on the detrimental impacts of social media, particularly the promotion of unrealistic lifestyle standards, and examined how family dynamics and social support can serve as mitigating factors against these psychological effects. Discussions on the quarter-life crisis, the fear of missing out (FOMO), and the significance of healthy family relationships offered insights into the balancing of personal and social life. The role of family as a source of emotional and social support is of paramount importance. Family cohesion and adaptability have been shown to facilitate individuals' ability to cope with the challenges posed by social media. Furthermore, participants were provided with guidance on achieving equilibrium in interpersonal relationships with friends and family members, in addition to enhancing communication skills. It is hypothesized that this activity will enhance participants' psychological well-being and strengthen their relationships with family and social environments. In subsequent phases, the participants were furnished with a digital compendium that encompassed salient information pertinent to its implementation in their daily lives.]]>
