<![CDATA[In a written work, the method of writing cannot be separated, as is the case with works of an interpretation. In interpreting the Qur'an, a mufassir requires a method of interpretation, which in this case is colored by his learning journey, the schools he adheres to, and so on. In this article the focus is on discussing the methodology of the interpretation of Ali al-Sabuni in the book Safwat al-Tafasir which discusses his biography, his works as well as the method and style of his interpretation. The result of this study is that the Safwah al-Tafasir method in terms of its source includes bi al-Ra'yi, in terms of the way of explanation it includes bayni, in terms of breadth it includes Ijmali, and in terms of orderly interpretation it includes Tahlili, and the school or trend of Safwah al-Tafasir patterned adabi al-ijtima'i.]]>
