<![CDATA[The focus of this research was to determine the experiences, perceptions, and practices of implementing positive discipline at SMA Negeri 1 Rancabungur as the first generation of Sekolah Penggerak. In the midst of character degradation issues and military barracks education controversies, the researcher was interested in highlighting the theme of positive discipline as an alternative to character building. This research used a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data were collected through questionnaires, participant observation, structured interviews, and document analysis. The result showed that members of SMA Negeri 1 Rancabungur share a common perception of positive dicipline and have implemented it in various school activities through preventive and persuasive approaches such as colossal approach, classical approach, and personal approach. The majority of respondents considered the implementation of positive discipline at SMA Negeri 1 Rancabungur to provide good results. However, challenges such as time constraints, consistency, and diversity of student backgrounds that must be overcome have led to differing opinions on the issues. Some believed that strict discipline and punishment should be applied, while others believed that positive discipline is the best method. ABSTRAKFokus penelitian yang dilakukan adalah untuk mengetahui pengalaman, persepsi, dan praktik penerapan disiplin positif di SMA Negeri 1 Rancabungur sebagai sekolah penggerak angkatan pertama. Di tengah masalah degradasi karakter dan kontroversi pendidikan barak militer, peneliti tertarik mengangkat tema disiplin positif sebagai alternatif penanaman karakter. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data melalui metode kuesioner, observasi partisipan, wawancara terstruktur, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa warga SMA Negeri 1 Rancabungur telah memiliki persepsi yang sama tentang disiplin positif dan telah menerapkan disiplin positif dalam berbagai kegiatan sekolah melalui pendekatan prefentif dan persuasif seperti pendekatan kolosal, pendekatan klasikal, dan pendekatan personal. Mayoritas responden menganggap penerapan disiplin positif di SMA Negeri 1 Rancabungur memberikan hasil yang baik. Namun, adanya tantangan seperti masalah waktu, konsistensi, dan keanekaragaman latar belakang siswa yang harus diatasi menghadirkan perbedaan pendapat mengenai masalah . Sebagian orang setuju bahwa disiplin yang tegas dan hukuman harus diterapkan, sedangkan yang lain tetap percaya bahwa disiplin positif adalah metode terbaik.]]>
