Abstract

Abstrak: Tingginya angka mahasiswa yang belum mampu membaca Al-Qur’an dengan baik dan benar menunjukkan perlunya intervensi sistematis guna mendukung visi kampus yang religius dan literat terhadap kitab suci. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dasar membaca Al-Qur’an di kalangan mahasiswa, khususnya keterampilan dalam melafalkan huruf hijaiyah, mengenali tanda baca (harakat), serta membaca ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an secara lancar dan tartil. Program ini dirancang untuk mewujudkan kampus bebas buta huruf Al-Qur’an melalui kegiatan sertifikasi baca Qur’an. Pelaksanaan kegiatan berlangsung selama dua hari satu malam dan melibatkan 50 orang mahasiswa sebagai peserta, satu orang pemateri utama, dan lima orang pendamping dari organisasi IMM. Kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui metode pelatihan intensif dan pendampingan berjenjang yang diakhiri dengan sertifikasi baca Qur'an sebagai bentuk pengakuan kompetensi. Monitoring dan evaluasi dilakukan melalui penilaian rutin terhadap perkembangan kemampuan membaca sesuai jadwal yang ditentukan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan baca Qur’an peserta dengan tingkat keberhasilan sebesar 75%. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa program sertifikasi baca Qur’an merupakan pendekatan yang efektif untuk meningkatkan literasi Al-Qur’an di kalangan mahasiswa dan layak diimplementasikan secara berkelanjutan di lingkungan perguruan tinggi.Abstract: The high number of students who have not been able to read the Qur'an properly and correctly shows the need for systematic intervention to support the vision of a religious and literate campus towards the holy book. This service activity aims to improve the basic ability to read the Qur'an among students, especially skills in pronouncing hijaiyah letters, recognizing punctuation marks (harakat), and reading Qur'anic verses fluently and tartil. This program is designed to realize a campus free of Qur'an illiteracy through Qur'an reading certification activities. The implementation of the activity lasted for two days and one night and involved 50 students as participants, one main speaker, and five assistants from the IMM organization. This activity is carried out through intensive training methods and tiered mentoring which ends with Qur'an reading certification as a form of competency recognition. Monitoring and evaluation is carried out through regular assessments of the development of reading skills according to a specified schedule. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' Qur'an reading ability with a success rate of 75%. This finding confirms that the Qur'an reading certification program is an effective approach to improve Qur'an literacy among students and deserves to be implemented in a sustainable manner in the university environment.
