The coal mining industry operated by PT Bakti Nugraha Yuda produces acid mine drainage, the management of which is crucial to prevent environmental pollution. The main problem faced is the high acidity level of the wastewater, with an initial pH ranging from 4.3 to 5.1, which is below the government's environmental quality standards that require a pH above 6. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using quicklime as a neutralizing agent to manage acid mine drainage at the site. This research includes quantitative research with case study research methods and analytical experiments with jar test laboratory tests and periodic pH measurements in two Sludge Settling Ponds (KPL 1 and KPL 2). The results showed that quicklime is very effective. Doses between 0.6 and 1 gram per liter successfully increased the water pH from an initial condition of around 4.5 to within the range of 7 to 8.9, in accordance with quality standards. Linear regression analysis at KPL 1 also showed a very strong correlation (R² = 0.9988) between the dose given and the increase in pH.
