ABSTRACTThis study discusses the implementation of Indonesia–Kuwait cooperation in the oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors during 2019–2024, using a qualitative descriptive method and grounded in International Cooperation Theory and Energy Geopolitics. The findings show that the implementation is reflected in energy diplomacy, investment promotion, and the involvement of the Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC) in Indonesia’s oil and gas exploration, which led to a gas discovery in 2022. In conclusion, this cooperation produced tangible achievements in the energy sector while underscoring the importance of interdependence and geopolitical factors in shaping Indonesia–Kuwait bilateral relations.
