Peningkatan Standar Housekeeping dan Sanitasi dalam Pengelolaan Homestay di Desa Wisata Leuwimalang

Abstract

ABSTRAK Desa Wisata Leuwimalang adalah sebuah desa wisata yang terletak di Kecamatan Cisarua, Bogor. Desa ini memiliki potensi untuk pengembangan wisata edukasi terkait alam. Desa ini juga aktif dalam berbagai kegiatan, acara Kabogorfest dan program pengembangan desa wisata yang didukung oleh mahasiswa. Selayaknya Desa Wisata pada umumnya, pasti memiliki tempat singgah untuk beristirahat, misalnya homestay. Namun sebagian homestay di Desa Wisata Leuwimalang masih tergolong belum optimal, salah satunya di manajemen housekeeping dan sanitasinya. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pengelola homestay dengan melakukan pelatihan manajemen yang sesuai dengan standar kebersihan pelayanan yang profesional. Pelatihan dilangsungkan pada tanggal 24 Juli 2025 diikuti oleh 20 pemilik dan pengelola homestay. Kegiatannya menggunakan metode partisipatif dengan materi mencakup manajemen housekeeping dan sanitasi di Homestay. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan cara mendemonstrasikan langsung teknik kebersihan kamar dan area umum, praktek sanitasi dapur dan kamar mandi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan ini efektif dalam mengelola homestay supaya lebih profesional sesuai dengan SOP kebersihan, serta mendukung kolaborasi antar Pengelola Homestay Desa Wisata Leuwimalang secara berkelanjutan Kata Kunci: desa wisata, standar kebersihan, sanitasi homestay, pelatihan ABSTRACT Leuwimalang Tourism Village is a tourist village located in Cisarua District, Bogor. This village has the potential to develop nature-related educational tourism. This village is also active in various activities, including the Kabogorfest event and a tourism village development program supported by students. Like most tourism villages, it certainly has a place to rest, such as a homestay. However, some homestays in Leuwimalang Tourism Village are still considered suboptimal, one of which is in housekeeping and sanitation management. This community service activity aims to improve the competence of homestay managers by conducting management training in accordance with professional service cleanliness standards. The training took place on July 24, 2025, attended by 20 homestay owners and managers. The activity used a participatory method with materials covering housekeeping and sanitation management in the homestay. Evaluation was carried out by directly demonstrating cleaning techniques for rooms and public areas, as well as kitchen and bathroom sanitation practices. The results of the activity indicate that this training is effective in managing homestays more professionally in accordance with cleanliness SOPs, and supports ongoing collaboration among Homestay Managers in Leuwimalang Tourism Village.
