Abstract

This evaluation was conducted by comparing two methods, namely the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) and the Asphalt Institute MS-17, to assess whether the road conditions are still suitable or require routine maintenance and repair programs. The results of the analysis show that based on the PCI method, the highest percentage of road conditions is in the failed category of 43%, followed by fair 24%, very poor 14%, excellent 9%, poor and good each 5%. While in the Asphalt Institute MS-17 method, it was found that 41% of damage required patching, 32% required routine maintenance, and 27% required reconstruction. From the two methods, it can be concluded that the recommended handling solution is Reconstruction or through patching or other repair activities   Keywords: Road damage, PCI, AI MS-17
