Abstract

This research was conducted in the "FNK" Field located in the Central Sumatra Basin, with the main objective of analyzing the facies of the Bekasap Formation through an integrative approach. The depositional environment was evaluated using well log and Sidewall Core (SWC) data, which were analyzed in an integrated manner to produce a comprehensive interpretation of the stratigraphic and facies characteristics. The Bekasap Formation exhibits relatively significant sand thickness, with a vertical deposition pattern that coarsens upward and fines upward, indicating a transitional depositional environment from the intertidal zone to the inner shelf. These characteristics reflect the influence of hydrodynamic energy fluctuations and the contribution of tidal processes in sediment deposition. Facies analysis identifies the dominance of the Tidal Bar Axis system, which characterizes moderate to high-energy deposition in a dynamic coastal environment. The approach used in this study supports the development of more representative and efficient facies modeling, contributing to the understanding of facies distribution and stratigraphic relationships between rock units.
