Advances in medical technology have brought about a transformation in the global health system by improving service efficiency and expanding access to healthcare. The application of technology such as telemedicine, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) has enabled the optimization of healthcare resources, reduction of patient waiting times, as well as improved diagnosis accuracy. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of medical technology to improve the efficiency of the healthcare system as well as its role in reducing disparities in healthcare access. Using a literature review approach, this research identifies the key benefits of medical technology, implementation challenges, as well as solutions to improve its effectiveness. The results show that while medical technology has contributed to improving access to services for previously hard-to-reach groups, there are still barriers such as uneven infrastructure, limited digital literacy, and policy and regulation challenges. A more targeted strategy is needed to support the widespread adoption of medical technology, including investment in digital infrastructure, inclusive health services, and improved education for medical personnel and the public. With a more comprehensive approach, medical technology can play a more optimal role in creating a more efficient, inclusive, and sustainable health system
