<![CDATA[The transformation of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum in the digital era demands a new approach that is not only normative and textual, but also profound, reflective, and contextual. Thus far, PAI learning in many educational institutions has been dominated by surface pedagogy models that focus on memorization without encouraging a substantial understanding of Islamic values. In fact, the complexity of social realities and the challenges of the disruption era require a Muslim generation that is not only symbolically religious but also capable of interpreting religious teachings in a multidimensional and applicable way. This study aims to formulate a deep learning–based PAI curriculum model as a new approach to enhancing the multidimensional understanding of religious values, encompassing the cognitive, affective, psychomotor, social, and spiritual dimensions in an integrated manner. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and literature analysis, this research elaborates the characteristics of deep learning pedagogy, the principles of transformative curriculum, and designs a conceptual structure for a reflective and contextual PAI curriculum. The results of the study show that the deep learning approach fosters value internalization through a learning process that is profound, dialogical, critical, and relevant to students’ real-life experiences. This curriculum model also bridges the gap between the mastery of religious material and its application in moral behavior and social life. The implication of a deep learning–based PAI curriculum is the creation of a generation of learners with high spiritual literacy, ethical awareness, and a tolerant and solution-oriented religious attitude toward contemporary issues. Therefore, the development of this curriculum is an urgent necessity in responding to the multidimensional and complex challenges of contemporary Islamic education.]]>
