This study aims to examine the strengthening of santri character as a strategic response to the challenges of globalization in Pesantren Darussalam Blokagung. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method through field observations, interviews, and documentation analysis. The findings indicate that character education in the pesantren is implemented through integrated religious, moral, and disciplinary training embedded in daily activities. Santri are guided to uphold values such as discipline, responsibility, tolerance, and independence, which serve as the foundation for developing resilience against the negative influences of globalization. The study discusses how the pesantren environment, with its structured routines and close teacher-student interactions, plays a crucial role in shaping strong character and identity among the santri. Additionally, the curriculum emphasizes both spiritual development and practical life skills to prepare students for modern societal dynamics. The impact of this study suggests that pesantren-based character education can be an effective model in preserving local values while engaging with global realities.
