Abstract

Abstrak Artikel ini akan menjelaskan tentang praktik baik pengarusutamaan gender di salah satu perguruan tinggi Islam di Indonesia. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan peran dan jaringan aktor (actor network theory/ANT) dan metode penelitian kualitatif, artikel ini menjelaskan temuan penelitian terkait dengan bagaimana upaya program pengausutamaan gender di lingkungan perguruan tinggi di tengah derasnya arus tehnologi informasi yang terus bergerak dinamis, sementara persoalan gender belum bergerak dan masih seringkali muncul berupa persoalan klasik dan berulang. Berangkat dari metode analisis yang digunakan dan didasarkan pada pencarian makna yang secara ontologik bergerak antara empiris, logis, dan etik dengan corak berfikir reflektif dan verstehen, temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan kuatnya peran, kontribusi, dan tantangan Sekolah Gender dalam penguatan paradigma kesetaraan gender dan penguatan kampus inklusi. Analisis atas temuan data menghadirkan refleksi dan rekomendasi bagi penguatan pengausutamaan gender seperti yang terlihat dalam program Sekolah Gender terutama terkait: bentuk dan substansi, kurikulum dan materi, pendekatan pembelajaran, strategi publikasi, dan pengembangan jejaring internal dan eksternal dan merekomendasikan forum atau program serupa di berbagai perguruan tinggi di Indonesia.    Kata Kunci: Pengarusutamaan, Gender, Peran, Tantangan, Perguruan Tinggi  [This article will discuss the best practices of gender mainstreaming at one of the Islamic universities in Indonesia. Using an actor-network theory (ANT) and qualitative methods, this article presents interesting findings on how gender mainstreaming programs survive and are implemented in the higher education environment amidst the dynamic flow of information technology, while gender issues remain stagnant and often present as recurring, classical problems. Based on the analytical methods used and the search for meaning that ontologically navigates between empirical, logical, and ethical dimensions with a reflective and verstehen way of thinking, the research findings highlight the significant role, contributions, and challenges faced by the Gender School in strengthening the paradigm of gender equality and fostering an inclusive campus. The analysis of the data findings provides reflections and recommendations for strengthening gender mainstreaming, as seen in the Gender School program particularly related to: the form and substance, curriculum and materials, learning approaches, publication strategies, and the development of internal and external networks.
