Abstract

Kata kunci: simpangan; simpangan-antar-tingkat; gedung-ireguler; beban-dinamis Abstract This article compares structural responses to three variations of shear wall configurations in irregular multi-story buildings in the plan. The shear wall configuration is focused on the location and shape of the shear wall in a nine-story reinforced concrete building structure with an irregular plan located in an earthquake-prone area. This study aims to analyze the response of irregular structures in existing buildings to compare with two modified shear wall models. Structural analysis for three shear wall configuration models used ETABS software. The lowest structural response analysis results showed a base shear of 21548.528 kN. Deflection in the x and y directions were 56.47 and 48.48 (mm), respectively. Story drift in the x and y directions was 10.589 and 8.796 (mm). At the same time, the lowest drift rate in the x and y directions was 0.212 and 0.176 (%). From these results, it can be concluded that the structural response in existing buildings is more optimal in both the location and shape of the shear wall compared to the other two models. Key words: displacement; drift-ratio; irregular-building; dynamic- load
