This article will describe the effect of using the Mind Mapping learning model on students' abilities in determining the structure of exposition texts in class X MAN 1 Cianjur. The research design used was the one-group pretest-posttest design. A sample of 36 students uses only one class. The instruments used are tests and non-tests, tests are in the form of pretest and posttest while non-tests are in the form of questionnaires or questionnaires. The data were processed with the help of JASP software version 17. The results showed that the students' ability to determine the structure of expository text was significantly different between the pre and post-test. The final result of the average score on the initial test is 6.38 and the final test is 8.80. Furthermore, after being processed using the Paired Sample T-Test (t-test), the P-Value (0.001) <0.05 and thus Ho was rejected, and Ha was accepted. This means that the mind mapping learning model has a significant effect on increasing the ability to determine the structure of exposition texts.Keywords: exposition; mind mapping, text structureABSTRAKArtikel ini akan mendeskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Mind Mapping terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam menentukan struktur teks eksposisi pada kelas X MAN 1 Cianjur. Disain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu one-group pretest-posttest design. Sampel sebanyak 36 siswa hanya menggunakan satu kelas. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes dan nontes, tes berupa pretest dan posttest sedangkan nontes berupa angket atau kuesioner. Data diolah dengan bantuan software JASP versi 17. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan siswa dalam menentukan struktur teks eksposisi berbeda secara signifikan antara pre dam post-test. Hasil akhir nilai rata-rata pada tes awal yaitu 6,38 dan tes akhir menjadi 8,80. Selanjutnya, setelah diolah menggunakan Uji Paired Sampel T-Test (uji-t), hasil P-Value (0,001) < 0,05 dan dengan demikiaan Ho ditolak, dan Ha diterima. Hal itu berarti bahwa model pembelajaran mind mapping berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan menentukan struktur teks eksposisi.Kata kunci: eksposisi; mind mapping, struktur teks
