<![CDATA[The purpose of this research is (1) to produce the product of literature teaching materials based on folklore Asal Usul Way Linti and Asal Usul Kuto Bumi to understand the values of character of junior high school students of class VII, (2) to describe the feasibility of literary materials based on folklore Asal Usul Way Linti and Asal Usul Kuto Bumi. This research is a development research (RD). The result of the research shows that (1) has been developed a textbook of literature folklore Asal Usul Way Linti and Asal Usul Kuto Bumi with the title of book " Apresiasi Legenda Asal Usul Way Linti dan Asal Usul Kuto Bumi ", (2) the result of the literary textbook as a whole is stated "Very Eligible" by the assessment of 1 material expert, 3 teachers of Indonesian Language and Literature, and 30 students of SMP.Tujuan penelitian ini (1) menghasilkan produk berupa buku materi ajar sastra berbasis cerita rakyat Asal Usul Way Linti dan Asal Usul Kuto Bumi untuk memahami nilai-nilai karakter siswa SMP kelas VII, (2) mendeskripsikan kelayakan materi sastra berbasis cerita rakyat Asal Usul Way Linti dan Asal Usul Kuto Bumi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan menurut Sugiyono (RD). Hasil penelitian, (1) telah berhasil dikembangkan buku berupa materi ajar sastra cerita rakyat Asal Usul Way Linti dan Asal Usul Kuto Bumi dengan judul buku Apresiasi Legenda Asal Usul Way Linti dan Asal Usul Kuto Bumi, (2) hasil kelayakan buku materi ajar sastra secara keseluruhan dinyatakan Sangat Layak oleh penilaian 1 ahli materi, 3 guru Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, dan 30 siswa SMP kelas VII.Kata kunci: Buku Materi Ajar Sastra, Cerita Rakyat, dan Nilai-nilai Karakter]]>
