<![CDATA[Pada tanggal 11 April 2022, terjadi Demo BEM SI yang bertujuan menyoroti kinerja pemerintah dalam menjalankan roda pemerintahannya. Demo ini diliput oleh tempo.co kedalam berita online. Tempo.co menggunakan foto ilustrasi yang mampu membangkitkan emosi pembacanya. Penyematan foto ilustrasi dalam berita online tempo.co tentu mem punyai maksud dan tujuan. Untuk mengetahuinya foto tersebut kemudian dianalisis dan ditelaah menggunakan analisis Semiotika Charles Sander Pierce. Tanda-tanda diidentifikasi dalam ikon, indeks dan simbol kemudian dimaknai menggunakan makna universal. Hasil analisis menemukan adanya lima pesan yang dikonstruksikan. Pesan tersebut mengandung makna perlawanan, kemarahan, ajakan, serta pesimisme dan apatisme masyarakat. Tempo.co juga mengajak pemerintah agar menumbuhkan iklim demokrasi yang lebih baik di negeri ini. On April 11, 2022, there was a BEM SI demonstration which aimed to highlight the government's performance in running its government.This demonstration was covered by tempo.co in online news. Tempo.co uses illustrative photos that can evoke the emotions of the readers. The embedding of illustrated photos in tempo.co's online news certainly has a meaning and purpose. To find out, the photo was then studied and analyzed using Charles Sander Pierce's Semiotics analysis. Signs identified in icons, indexes and symbols are then interpreted using universal meanings. The results of the analysis found that there were five messages that were constructed. The message contains the meaning of resistance, anger, exclamation, as well as pessimism and apathy of society.
