Abstract

Purpose – To determine the influence of rewards, punishments, and the work environment on employee work motivation. This research is grounded in the importance of effective motivation strategies for maintaining organizational productivity within a competitive work environment. Design/Methodology/Approach – This study employs explanatory research to examine the causal relationships between variables through hypothesis testing. The population consists of 100 employees of Roxy Square Jember, all of whom were included in the sample (census). Data were collected using a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed via multiple linear regression, accompanied by instrument testing, classical assumption testing, and hypothesis testing. Findings – The research results indicate that rewards, punishments, and the work environment have a positive and significant impact on employee work motivation. Therefore, the company is advised to maintain its reward and punishment systems and improve the quality of the work environment to enhance employee work motivation. Originality/Value This research provides value by empirically examining the combined effects of reward, punishment, and workplace environment on work motivation within a single organizational context, offering evidence-based insights that support more effective human resource practices.
