Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the Quranic memorization learning model for improving students' memorization quality at Yasinda Tugu Jaya Lempuing Junior High School, Ogan Komering Ilir, South Sumatra. The study focuses on the implementation of the Quranic memorization method used, the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation, and the model's contribution to improving students' memorization quality. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the Quranic memorization model at this school combines traditional methods such as talaqqi, musyāfahah, and tikrār with the use of modern technology to facilitate monitoring and evaluation of memorization. A school environment steeped in Quranic culture, competent teachers, and parental support are key contributing factors to the program's success. Obstacles identified include time constraints, differences in student abilities, and challenges in maintaining consistent muroja'ah (recitation). Overall, the Quranic memorization learning model has proven effective in improving students' recitation accuracy, fluency, and memorization of the Quran. Thus, this model can be used as a reference in developing memorization programs in Islamic educational institutions to produce a generation of Qur'an students with morals, discipline, and superior memorization qualities. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis model pembelajaran tahfidz Al-Qur’an dalam meningkatkan kualitas hafalan siswa di SMP Plus Yasinda Tugu Jaya Lempuing, Ogan Komering Ilir, Sumatra Selatan. Fokus kajian meliputi implementasi metode tahfidz yang digunakan, faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam pelaksanaannya, serta kontribusi model tersebut terhadap peningkatan kualitas hafalan siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model tahfidz di sekolah ini memadukan metode tradisional seperti talaqqi, musyāfahah, dan tikrār dengan pemanfaatan teknologi modern untuk memudahkan monitoring dan evaluasi hafalan. Lingkungan sekolah yang berbudaya Qur’ani, kompetensi guru yang mumpuni, serta dukungan orang tua menjadi faktor pendukung utama keberhasilan program. Adapun hambatan yang ditemukan meliputi keterbatasan waktu, perbedaan kemampuan siswa, dan tantangan dalam menjaga konsistensi muroja’ah. Secara keseluruhan, model pembelajaran tahfidz yang diterapkan terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan ketepatan bacaan, kelancaran, dan daya ingat siswa terhadap hafalan Al-Qur’an. Dengan demikian, model ini dapat dijadikan rujukan dalam pengembangan program tahfidz di lembaga pendidikan Islam untuk mencetak generasi Qur’ani yang berakhlak, disiplin, dan memiliki kualitas hafalan yang unggul
