Implementasi Nilai Moderasi Beragama melalui Pendidikan Kristen di Indonesia: Analisis atas Empat Pilar Moderasi Beragama

Abstract

Religious moderation is a crucial issue in the context of Indonesia’s multireligious society, particularly in addressing the challenges of intolerance, violence, and social disintegration. This study aims to analyze the implementation of religious moderation values through Christian education, focusing on four fundamental pillars: national commitment, tolerance, non-violence, and acceptance of tradition. Employing a qualitative method with a literature study approach, this research examines both the theoretical and practical correlations between the principles of Christian education and the pillars of religious moderation. The findings reveal that Christian education, grounded in love, compassion, and service, provides a constructive framework for fostering mutual respect, strengthening interfaith dialogue, and cultivating collective responsibility within a pluralistic society. The integration of religious moderation values into Christian educational curricula and practices empowers individuals to act as agents of peace, justice, and social cohesion. This study concludes that Christian education plays a significant role in reinforcing religious moderation in Indonesia, while also emphasizing the importance of interfaith perspectives and cultural sensitivity in addressing the challenges of pluralism. AbstrakModerasi beragama merupakan isu krusial dalam konteks masyarakat multireligius di Indonesia, khususnya dalam menghadapi potensi intoleransi, kekerasan, dan disintegrasi sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi nilai moderasi beragama melalui pendidikan Kristen dengan fokus pada empat pilar utama, yaitu komitmen kebangsaan, toleransi, anti-kekerasan, dan penerimaan terhadap tradisi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur, yang menelaah keterkaitan teoretis maupun praktis antara prinsip-prinsip pendidikan Kristen dan pilar-pilar moderasi beragama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan Kristen, berlandaskan kasih, belas kasih, dan pelayanan, mampu menyediakan kerangka kerja untuk menumbuhkan sikap saling menghormati, memperkuat dialog lintas iman, serta membangun tanggung jawab kolektif dalam masyarakat majemuk. Integrasi nilai moderasi beragama dalam kurikulum dan praksis pendidikan Kristen memberdayakan individu untuk menjadi agen perdamaian, keadilan, dan kohesi sosial. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendidikan Kristen memiliki kontribusi signifikan dalam memperkuat moderasi beragama di Indonesia, sekaligus menegaskan pentingnya perspektif lintas agama dan kepekaan budaya dalam menghadapi tantangan pluralisme.
