Abstract

The rapid growth of digital platform monetization has reshaped the global economy, providing individuals with new avenues for income generation and creative expression. However, these opportunities come with ethical dilemmas, such as content commodification, exploitation, and the erosion of personal authenticity. This study investigates digital monetization from the perspective of Christian education, emphasizing the integration of work values rooted in biblical principles, including diligence, integrity, stewardship, and service. Using a qualitative approach based on a comprehensive literature review, the research explores theological concepts of work, the role of Christian education, and case studies from monetized platforms such as TikTok and YouTube. The findings demonstrate that digital monetization can foster economic empowerment and innovation, but only when approached ethically. Christian education offers a robust framework for addressing these challenges by promoting moral discernment, digital literacy, and value-driven creativity. Through this lens, monetization can evolve into a means of service, community building, and stewardship, aligning with Christian principles. The study concludes with recommendations for educators, content creators, and policymakers to prioritize ethical standards and Christian work values in the digital economy. It suggests that future research focus on practical applications of these principles to ensure that technological advancements are leveraged responsibly in diverse sociocultural contexts.

Abstract

This qualitative study explores the role of Christian education in supporting Indonesia's Free Nutritious Meals Policy (FNMP) to promote children's health and intellectual growth. Using a literature review approach, the research examines existing studies, government reports, and educational frameworks to understand how Christian education complements the policy's goals. The FNMP, which aims to address malnutrition and enhance educational outcomes, provides free meals to students across the country. Christian education, with its emphasis on moral, spiritual, and intellectual development, aligns with the policy by fostering values of stewardship, responsibility, and care for others. This study investigates how Christian schools integrate nutrition education into their curricula and encourage healthy lifestyle choices among students. By examining the intersection of Christian values and national health policies, the paper highlights how Christian education can contribute to raising awareness of the importance of nutrition for physical and cognitive well-being. The research also identifies opportunities for collaboration between Christian institutions and government bodies to strengthen the policy's impact. The findings suggest that Christian education plays a crucial role in not only supporting the FNMP but also enhancing its effectiveness by promoting a well-rounded approach to children's development.

Abstract

Abstract: Transformational leadership plays a crucial role in fostering peace and social harmony, particularly in multicultural societies. In the context of the Tolaki community, the concept of Kalosara—emphasizing unity, justice, and cooperation—serves as a fundamental cultural value that can inform and strengthen ethical leadership. This study explores how Kalosara, combined with Christian education, provides a solid foundation for transformational leadership that promotes peace and social cohesion. Christian teachings on servant leadership, justice, and reconciliation align with Kalosara’s principles, forming a unique framework for leaders who prioritize the well-being of others and foster inclusive communities. The research aims to examine the integration of these values into leadership models that contribute to societal peace and harmony. This study offers significant academic contributions by bridging local cultural wisdom and Christian values with modern leadership theory, providing practical insights for leaders in both religious and community contexts, and emphasizing the potential of culturally rooted leadership in promoting sustainable peace.

Abstract

Global warming is a serious challenge that demands collective awareness and action, including in the field of education. Christian ecopedagogy, which integrates theological values with environmental concern, plays a crucial role in fostering ecological awareness and promoting global warming mitigation. Transforming ecopedagogy through ecotheology in the Christian education curriculum can strengthen students' understanding of their spiritual responsibility toward nature as part of their faith. By implementing a holistic approach that encompasses theological studies, environmental ethics, and sustainable practices, Christian schools can become agents of change in shaping a generation that is more environmentally conscious. This ecotheology-based learning model can be realized through curriculum integration, real-world action projects, and the active involvement of communities and churches in environmental education. Thus, Christian education not only focuses on academic excellence but also on shaping ecological character rooted in faith-based values to address global environmental challenges.

Abstract

The Baduy community upholds an ecological philosophy that emphasizes harmony with nature, reflected in their prohibitions against excessive exploitation and their respect for maintaining a balance in the ecosystem. This principle aligns with the concept of environmental stewardship in Genesis 1:26-28, which underscores humanity’s responsibility to manage the earth wisely. Integrating these two perspectives can serve as a model for sustainable ecological ethics in Christian education. This study employs a theological and ethnographic approach to explore the alignment between Baduy ecological wisdom and biblical principles. The findings reveal that this model can enrich Christian education by fostering an eco-theological awareness that balances dominion over creation with responsibility for it. By adopting Baduy sustainability principles, Christian education can promote a more inclusive and contextually relevant ecological mindset among learners. This integration offers an ethical solution to the environmental crisis, emphasizing that Christian faith must be manifested in sustainable ecological practices.

Abstract

The global climate crisis calls for a renewed narrative of ecological spirituality that fosters harmonious relationships among humanity, nature, and the Divine. In response, this study examines the Moyo Dance, a traditional ceremonial dance from Nias, Indonesia, through the lenses of social theology and ecotheology, aiming to cultivate ecological awareness rooted in local culture. Rich in symbolic meaning, the Moyo Dance reflects deep interconnections between human beings and the natural world, offering insights into values of cosmic harmony, courage, and gratitude that are urgently relevant to contemporary environmental challenges. Employing a qualitative methodology, this research integrates cultural analysis, symbolic interpretation, and theological reflection on the dance's movements and rituals. The study reveals that the Moyo Dance is not merely a form of cultural expression but also a living manifestation of ecological spirituality. It conveys a theological understanding of humanity's vocation as stewards of creation, aligning with both biblical and indigenous worldviews. The findings suggest that the ecological values embodied in the Moyo Dance can enrich social theology and Christian education, especially in contexts seeking to bridge faith, culture, and environmental responsibility. This research advocates for the inclusion of the Moyo Dance in educational initiatives and intercultural dialogue as a means of promoting ecological sustainability. Ultimately, the Moyo Dance offers a valuable contextual contribution to the global discourse on theology and climate action.

Abstract

This article explores the role of Christian education in mitigating ethical failures in Christian leadership, using a qualitative literature review approach. Ethical failures in Christian leadership have become a significant concern, as they undermine the integrity and credibility of church leaders, impacting both congregations and society. The paper examines scriptural principles and theological perspectives that shape ethical leadership, emphasizing the importance of character, integrity, and accountability as essential components of Christian leadership. Key passages from the Bible, such as 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9, are analyzed to highlight the ethical expectations for church leaders. Furthermore, the study delves into how Christian education plays a transformative role in shaping the moral and ethical development of leaders, through the integration of theology, ethics, and practical leadership skills. The findings suggest that Christian education provides a foundation for character formation, spiritual growth, and the cultivation of godly leadership practices. By fostering an environment of accountability and ethical training, Christian education can help prevent ethical lapses in leadership and contribute to the restoration of moral integrity in church leadership.
